Sub-Zero Built-In Sealed-System Repair in Port St. Lucie
Sub-Zero built-ins are dual-compressor, vacuum-condenser machines that punish shortcut charging. EC-series thermistor and fan codes, condenser loading, and true sealed-system leaks are estate-kitchen staples from PGA-adjacent Tradition to Palm City and Stuart. We evacuate to micron spec and weigh OEM charge—there is no “add a little gas” on a Sub-Zero. Access through millwork is planned on the dispatch, not improvised after kickplates are already off.
Dual compressors and condenser service
Independent fridge and freezer systems mean one compartment can fail while the other holds. We map which compressor, which evaporator, and which condenser path is in play. Vacuum condensers load with dust in closed millwork; we clean and verify airflow before a compressor condemnation. EC fan and thermistor faults are charted at the harness. A warm refrigerator with a healthy freezer is often a fan, damper, or thermistor—until the sealed system on that circuit says otherwise.
Coastal humidity from Jensen Beach through Stuart attacks door gaskets and ice-maker fill paths. We inspect seals and lighting circuits that get blamed for no-cool before anyone talks compressor.

EPA recovery and built-in access
Pulling a built-in takes protection, time, and a plan for water and electrical. We quote that access honestly. When the sealed system is open, recovery, nitrogen, new drier, and exact charge weight are the job—not a gauge reading from the driveway. Prior unlicensed top-offs on Sub-Zero evaporators are a finding we document; those machines often need a proper leak search, not another can of refrigerant. Florida ambient heat plus closed millwork raises condenser load until an otherwise healthy compressor shuts down on thermal—cleaning and proving airflow is not optional. Ice-maker and lighting circuits get isolated so a no-cool complaint is not automatically a dual-compressor quote. We schedule extra slot time for Tradition and Palm City estate kitchens because rushing a column is how cabinets get scarred and charges get short.
Terms
The diagnostic is still $75 credited toward approved repair, $35 if we also look at a second appliance, pay on-site, 90-day parts and labor on completed work, no online prepayment. Sealed-system parts and refrigerant are quoted separately after the test. Routing: Port St. Lucie, Tradition, St. Lucie West, Sandpiper Bay, Palm City, Stuart.
Sub-Zero service is scheduled with extra slot time for millwork. We run Port St. Lucie, Tradition, Palm City, Stuart, and Jensen Beach. If the condenser is the entire problem, you will not buy a compressor. If the sealed system is leaking, you will see recovery notes before we commit to an evaporator. Factory-grade sealed-system work, local EPA-certified techs.
