Twin Cooling Plus keeps fridge and freezer evaporators independent. One warm compartment with one still frozen is a damper, fan, or thermistor job until the sealed system says otherwise. Ice-room (fresh-food ice) models ice over when the room seal, drain clip, or ice-fan (22E / 22C class) fails. We pull the ice bucket, inspect the evaporator fan path, and check drain heaters before quoting a compressor in a Port St. Lucie heat wave.
Error 39/40-class ice faults and 14E ice-maker displacement switches are on the truck diagnostic list. A hair-dryer defrost that leaves the drain clip and ice-room gasket untouched is how those machines ice over again in a week. Inverter refrigeration and laundry drive faults
Samsung inverter compressors need rail-voltage and serial communication checks after summer brownouts along Becker Road and in St. Lucie West. A 22E on refrigeration is not automatically “new compressor.” We confirm DC bus voltage, winding resistance, and running amps against the nameplate, then look at frost pattern on the evaporator. EPA-certified recovery and OEM charge weight apply when the sealed system is actually open—there is no top-off on a leaking Twin Cooling circuit.
Washers throw UE/UB when suspension rods or spider corrosion let the tub walk—common after years of Florida moisture. We measure unbalance mechanically, then look at the hall sensor.
